CARING COMMITTEE

OUR CARING COMMITTEE PROVIDES SUPPORT to Temple Habonim families during times of illness, death, birth and other significant life events. This support can include a broad range of assistance such as making a meal to drop off, offering a ride or providing support to a caregiver. We send cards to those who are ill and condolences to those who have had a loss.

We know that caring for others builds connection and community; it brings joy and enhances a sense of purpose. It is our goal to have many offering support, so that together we can care for each other. This is a great opportunity for people who want to volunteer but have limited time. We have no meetings and you can give the amount of time you have available. If you would like to be involved, please complete the volunteer form.

Just as importantly, we ask that each of you share your needs and those of other congregants who might be reluctant to ask. Please email The Caring Committee, Rabbi Howard or call the office to let us know, so we can reach out in the most appropriate way.

If I am not for myself, who will be for me? But if I am only for myself, who am I? If not now, when?
