A multi-cultural interfaith celebration benefiting Rhode Island for Community and Justice.
Featuring: Prafulla Velury and her students presenting classical Kuchipudi dance and Carnatic music from southern India; Waleed Muhammad, Muslim chaplin, singer-songwriter, guitarist and recording artist, singing songs of spirit and hope; The Prism of Praise Community Gospel Choir, a multi-cultural, ethnically diverse Christian choir, spreading the good news through song and witness; and The Ruach Singers of Temple Habonim, building community by exploring connections between Jewish, African and African-American sacred music.
Donations gratefully accepted - all proceeds go to Rhode Island for Community and Justice, fighting bias, bigotry and racism. Tickets available online at www.templehabonim.org or at the door. Preregistration strongly recommended as space is limited. Doors open at 3:30 pm.
