Temple Habonim Welcomes Shabbat at Barrington Beach

On Friday, July 20th, 85 members of Temple Habonim gathered for Kabbalat Shabbat services at the Barrington Beach. With a backdrop of gentle waves, soft clouds, a warm breeze, and even a faint rainbow in the sky, congregants of every age, ranging from infants to seniors, joined together in prayer and song to welcome Shabbat.

A truly wonderful feeling of community was shared by all who attended. Singing was led by Diane Minasian, who was accompanied by her husband, Ivan Wolfson, on the guitar. All were reminded that a sanctuary's four walls aren't necessary to be in touch with the Divine. In fact, an outdoor setting in nature can go a long way to help many access their inner sense of spirituality and their connection with God.

Rabbi Klein was delighted to see such a huge turnout for this intergenerational service at the beach and reminded everyone that Temple Habonim will gather for another Barrington Beach Shabbat on Friday, August 17 th at 6:15. All are welcome to come and join together in worship.
